Should a Hillarys home be checked before adding more outdoor equipment?
Yes. The electrician should know the existing major loads, board capacity, cable route and whether the new equipment is exposed to weather. That applies to patio outlets, pumps, garage equipment and other fixed loads.
Why does an outdoor safety switch trip only sometimes?
Intermittent trips can follow moisture, a deteriorating fitting, damaged cable or a connected appliance. Record the weather and equipment in use, leave the circuit off if possible, and have it tested rather than resetting it repeatedly.
Is urgent electrical service available after hours?
No. JEC urgent electrical service is business-hours only, Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm. For immediate danger, keep clear of the affected area and contact emergency services.
