Our Gwelup home is from the 1990s or 2000s. Does the switchboard still need checking?
Worth it before adding a big load, yes. Newer boards usually have RCD protection, but that is not the same as spare capacity: an EV charger, a second air conditioner or a pool adds real load, and boards are often full sooner than owners expect. A check confirms the spare ways and capacity before anything is bought.
What about the older homes on the original Gwelup blocks?
